Shana Cordon Presents:  Dancing with Demons:  A Comedy of Sorts
Written and performed by Shana Cordon
Direction and dramaturgy by Claire Patton

Performed at the 2012 Seattle Fringe Festival and the 2013 Fresno Rogue Festival

The Hero’s Journey has gone awry! A writer held hostage, a demon on the loose–when structure disappears, what’s a character to do? In this one woman, multi-character show, heroes and villains, innocents and vixens battle to tell their own story. With exquisite physical theater, original music, and witty humor, this contemporary fairytale will take you on a haunting, hilarious, dark and delicious adventure.

“Wickedly fun…Worth the price of admission just to watch [Ms. Cordon’s] fluid body movements as she dances, crawls, leaps and sails across the small stage…She takes a rather standard fairy tale and sends it down the rabbit hole of insanity to end up with a story within a story that has no slow moments.” Full review here.  —Fresno Bee

“Ms. Cordon’s fractured fairytale takes a hard left into a grown-up fantasy gone awry…This is not your mother’s Mother Goose.” Full article here. –King River Life Magazine

“The show is truly a work of art! Shana Cordon masterfully weaves in and out of characters with a magician like quality. You forget you are watching a one woman show as she skillfully portrays different characters. They all come alive along with your imagination; pulling you into a different world you don’t want to leave. This is truly a remarkable show!”  —J. Knowles, Seattle, WA

“Ms. Cordon deftly morphs from one character to the next, keeping the audience riveted on the surprising amount of action, adventure and suspense.”  —L. Haddix, Chicago, IL
